The Warner Theater was opened May 14, 1931 with George Arliss in “The Millionaire”. It was equipped with a Wurlitzer organ which was opened by organist Edgar Lehn.  Now named the Powers Auditorium it was built by the Warner Brothers who grew up in Youngstown and started their theater career here.  Listed on the National Registry of Historic Places, the Symphony Center/Edward W. Powers Auditorium serves as a performing arts center and social center, with a seating capacity of 2,303 people.
